• The White Cloth: This is like a soldier's heart, pure and ready to help.
• The Lemon Slice: Taste it in your mind... it's bitter. It reminds us that war is a very sad and "bitter" thing.
• The Salt: It looks like tiny crystals, but it represents the salty tears of families waiting for their heroes to come home.
• The Upside-Down Glass: If a glass is upside down, you can't have a drink. This shows that our missing friend can't join us for the celebration.
• The Tilted Chair: We are saving this spot! It’s tilted to show that we are waiting for them to return.

K-Ration: Your "Lunchbox" for the battlefield. It had crackers, meat, gum and a four pack of cigarettes!

Higgins Boat: The "Surfboard of Steel" that carried soldiers onto the beaches of Normandy.

Czech Hedgehog: Big metal "jacks" on the beach meant to stop boats (Look for these in the pictures!).

Bocage: A fancy word for the super thick, tall bushes in France that soldiers had to hide in.
